One of the biggest international brewers, with headquarters in Amsterdam [bit of a clue there!] has set up its own learning centre, both in actual terms with a "University Campus" and in virtual terms via a learning intranet.
One of the key objectives is to create a culture where skills and knowledge are transmitted through the organisation. This is in line with the thinking of many corporations who realise that "traditional training" is only one of a range of learning and development mechanisms.
To convert this vision into reality the client is investing in developing the skills of their;
1. Dedicated trainers
2. Line managers
3. Functional specialists
hr Team has been asked to design and deliver a range of programmes to support this initiative, and we will be delivering them centrally at the university and locally in their operations.
This is a really exciting programme which we are looking forward to starting early this year. We are also looking forward to sampling and becoming more familiar with the clients products!
