SDI - Well known player in the Financial Services Sector
They run a Management & Leadership development programme for managers who have been identified as high potential - probable two step promotion with a four year period. The programme is run over twelve months, consisting of a number of workshops, self study, "in-business" assignments and project work.
One of the key elements of the programme is around the theme "So what makes an effective manager anyway?" By this stage the "standard leadership" training inputs have been provided, so the intention is to provide the basis for a more conceptual study of the attributes of leaders in a real world sense.
Participants complete the SDI® Profiling, and because they have been working together as a team for a year they can provide each other with feedback using the SDI® outputs as a base.
The workshop then moves through to working on live case studies of highly effective leaders, linking back to the attributes, motivations and behaviours as defined in the SDI® model.
The SDI® provides a practical vehicle for these managers to gain:
a greater understanding of themselves
insights as to how they can develop their leadership effectiveness (building on the foundation learning they covered in the earlier workshops of the programme)
