In 1995 I established my own management consultancy and mediation service, specialising in the training of independent mediators, and managers wishing to use mediation skills in the management of conflict within business. In my first year of business, I trained over 200 people and gained full accreditation from the Law Society for my work.
During the past eight years I have provided consultancy on conflict management and mediation for a range of public and private sector organisations, including insurers, construction companies, retail banks, NHS Trusts and professional groups such as solicitors and accountants. I have also designed and delivered sales and negotiation training programmes for partners, directors and teams within many global financial, and professional services companies.
My consultancy experience has also involved me in working with teams from the financial services sectors, sports, leisure and IT markets. I have designed, facilitated and led the delivery of tailored programmes for clients ranging from new teams seeking to establish norms of best practice to experienced managers working as virtual teams and facing specific operational and relationship problems. My interventions include the use of 360 degree feedback, outdoor activities, NLP and personality profiling instruments, to facilitate learning.
